🚖 MicroStrategy's X Account Hacked, $440,000 Possibly Stolen in Phishing Scam
MicroStrategy's X account has reportedly fallen victim to hacking, with phishing messages directing users to a fraudulent website, potentially resulting in the theft of at least $440,000.
The breach, discovered by blockchain researcher ZachXBT and reported by pseudonymous crypto individual Spreek on X, occurred on Monday morning Asia time.
The compromised account posted messages promoting an airdrop of "MSTR token" and linked to a website under the domain "microstralegy," raising concerns among followers.
Following the discovery of the phishing posts, MicroStrategy promptly removed them from its X account.
The incident highlights the ongoing threat of cyberattacks within the cryptocurrency space, underscoring the importance of robust security measures to safeguard user assets and information from malicious actors.

🚖 RiskOnBlast Allegedly Rugs $1.3M in ETH from Seed Round Investors
The gambling platform RiskOnBlast has come under scrutiny after allegedly rug-pulling investors and absconding with $1.3 million in ether raised during a seed round.
Following a successful token presale that garnered 420 ether, or $1.29 million, the project disappeared from the internet, leaving over 750 victims in its wake.
Funds stolen from investors have reportedly been traced to various exchanges, including MEXC, Bybit, and ChangeNOW, according to blockchain fraud researcher SomaXBT.
RiskOnBlast's involvement in Blast's Big Bang competition, offering web3 projects opportunities for exposure on its mainnet, adds a layer of complexity to the situation.
Blast, an Ethereum Layer-2 project led by Blur NFT marketplace Founder Tieshun Roquerre, has received substantial backing from investors like Paradigm and Standard Crypto, boasting a total value locked of over $2 billion, as per DeFiLlama data.
